Pirated Vocoder Products and Software!
A recent investigation has found that one or more companies based outside the United States are producing and distributing unauthorized copies of several DVSI vocoder products in clear violation of DVSI’s intellectual property rights. Specifically, pirated copies of DVSI’s AMBE-1000™, AMBE-2000™ and AMBE-3000™ vocoder chips are being manufactured and sold by Indusic - also known as Nanjing Wutong Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., a company based in the People’s Republic of China. Such pirated vocoder chips sold by Indusic, or others, are not licensed under any of DVSI’s intellectual property rights. In addition, they are not authorized, warranted or supported by DVSI, and they may not be meet the same quality, performance and interoperability specifications as authentic DVSI products. DVSI views purchasers of unlicensed products such as those offered by Indusic to be contributing to the infringement of DVSI’s intellectual property rights, and DVSI intends to hold all parties accountable as part of DVSI’s commitment to protect its intellectual property.
In order to avoid legal ramifications and to assure that all vocoder products meet the highest levels of quality, performance and interoperability, DVSI recommends purchasing only fully authorized and licensed vocoder products exclusively from DVSI or an authorized source. Furthermore, DVSI strongly recommends against purchasing any pirated vocoder products including those from Indusic (aka Nanjing Wutong Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd.) or its affiliates. Indusic is not licensed by DVSI and has no right to sub-license, authorize, sell, produce or distribute any DVSI vocoder technology including hardware and/or software products.
Digital Voice Systems, Inc. (DVSI), is the sole owner and developer of the AMBE®, AMBE+™ and AMBE+2™ vocoder technology and associated hardware and software products, including those presented on this website and elsewhere. DVSI holds extensive intellectual property rights including patent rights, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets in its AMBE®, AMBE+™ and AMBE+2™ vocoder technology and products.
